| Message: Ladies and gentleman I think as a son it would be necessary to submit my condolences via the Hartley website. It is upsetting to miss a man who was the backbone of my life. He has accomplished many remarkable tasks that i found out after his death. And so much love and support by his family and friends. He knows HOW to do it, WHEN to do it and WHERE to do it in style!! It is an honour to be a son to a legend. May his soul rest and peace. |

| Message: We dearly call our beloved cousin Raveendralingam as ‘Kannapiran’. It was the name was given to him by his grand father Mr. V.K. Murugesu (appa), so in the family circle more or less everyone dearly calls him as ‘Kannapiran’. On that fateful day on 9th April, as I was away from UK, I received an email from my sister notifying me that Kannapiran has been admitted to the hospital. As he has been to the hospital for check up on his health few times previously, even though I did not consider it as a serious matter, I called my wife and told her to inquire. Later on I was told he was still admitted at the hospital and I enquired when he will be discharged, as I never expected him to be admitted on a long term in the hospital. During afternoon, I received the call that carried the news of our family’s beam light has switched itself off!! I was shocked and distressed to hear of his great loss. Instead of being admitted at the hospital on a long term basis, he in fact had decided to discharge himself from this world!! Untimely death it has been hard for me to console myself for the loss of a dearest cousin and a great human being. This made it difficult for me, until now to share my condolences and feelings. We lived under the guidance of our dearest cousin, who is no more with us. He was a good and great man dedicated to others and always has plenty of enthusiasm. He has always been so generous, full of life, engaging and deeply humane being, you can only love and appreciate his character, if you had a chance to liaise with him. His bright mind and great heart are shining examples of what humanity is about. He will be very much missed by his family and friends……..May his soul rest in peace!!!! |

| Message: I am extremely grieved and shocked to hear the untimely demise of my best friend Ravi on 09th April 2008. It's indeed a very irreparable loss to The Hartley College PPA (London Branch), our Alma mater Hartley College and above all a big loss to his wife and children. I am proud to mention that I have worked with him for HCPPA U.K 2008.We know each other for forty two years. My best friend R. Raveendralingam, who has been a pillar of strength for our HCPPA U.K for a long period. There is no doubt that he has done the best for Hartley. We can still remember his last words at our Executive Committee meeting last Saturday Hartley is an ocean even though we leave tomorrow; there will be someone to take over HCPPA and do the best for Hartley. He hails from a highly recognised and respected family of Immayanan, Udupiddy, He's a Founder member of the Hartley College PPA (London Branch) and in recognition and appreciation of his yeoman service he rendered to the Hartley College PPA (London Branch), and he was again elected as Secretary this year. He played soccer at Hartley College and was selected as a member of the Under 21 Sri Lanka soccer team. He was not only my classmate at Hartley College but also his daughter Ms. Anuja and my daughter Ms. Bhanuja are again classmates in London also. The loss created by his demise is unbridgeable and his name will indelibly go down in the history of Hartley College PPA, London Branch. May his soul rest in peace. Message: Saddened and shocked were my wife and I when our son delicately gave the shattering news of Raveendralingam's demise last Wednesday. Our heartfelt sympathies and prayers go to his beloved wife Siva, children Nirojan and Anusha and other close relatives during these terrible times. May God provide you with His strength and peace and we pray that the Almighty and Compassionate God be your constant companion carrying you through this time of great sadness. Despite death being the only certainty of life, when it touches a much loved friend and family man such as Ravee at such an untimely time of his life, it is cruel and very hard to comprehend. Yet the consolation we can have is that Ravee's soul now Rests in Peace and Everlasting Joy with the Almighty, his creator, where there is no pain or suffering and that one day we would all meet him in that Promised Place of Peace that is being made ready for us all. Till such day, bye Ravee and you are sadly missed. - Mohan, Dayalini and Jonnie Kulasingham

I was fortunate to be his classmate for many years and met him again in London several times throughout my stay in UK. He helped me to buy my first house in UK and he made me feel good to be a Hartleyite. We were lucky that our HCPPA invited him as Guest of Honour in our 2002 annual dinner that gave the opportunity to see him again and to exchange many past memories. My prayers go out to the family and others who care and love Ravi. May his memory live on and his actions inspire others to live as he lived helping his friends. Message: Condolences. I feel extremely sad about the sudden and untimely disappearance of Ravi from his beloved wife and children and from his relations and friends. My feelings of his loss as a Hartleyite is unfathomable. He was such an exemplary and outstanding son of Hartley College. He translated his abiding love and eternal gratitude for his alma mater into the formation of the UK PPA and the creation of a Global Trust, along with his comrades, to nurture and foster her welfare These institutions will remain as eternal monuments to his memory He was full of great qualities and social graces that endeared him to all his friends. I am proud that I was one among them. Year after year he had endeared us to him with seasonal greetings, joyous tidings and snippets of informations about health and good living. He was a wonderful husband and an excellent father. To lose such a great person in the prime of his life is indeed a grievous devastation. But there is no arm against the slings and arrows of outrageous fate. Hinduism says that death is only a return of the atma to the paramatma from whence it emanated. Thus we can take solace that Ravi has only gone to the Kingdom of God. God will take care of his wife and children. With this sincere belief I convey my heartfelt condolences to his wife, children.relatives and friends. Balasingam.
