Mrs. MathuraiMeenadchi Namasivayam (wife of late Mr. Kasinathar
Namasivayam), the mother-in-law of Mr. Varithamby Santhalingam, ex-President
of HCPPA (UK) passed away on Wednesday 27 September 2006.
Mrs. Namasivayam (a daughter of late OA Mylvaganam) was a native of the
village of Thunnalai who later lived in Kirillapone, Colombo, before
moving with her daughter in Croydon, London where she spent the last 15
years.
She is the sister of Mr. Mylvaganam Selvarajah, an old boy of Hartley
College who now lives in New Zeeland and a granddaughter of late
Pandithar Thillainathar, a very popular teacher at Hartley College in the
1930s and 40s
Her funeral will take place on Sunday 01 October 2006. The last rites
will be performed at Mr. Santhalingam's residence 15, Thanescroft
Gardens, Park Hill, Croydon, Surrey, CR0 5JR, UK starting at 9.30 am. The
cortege will then leave home at 1.00pm for cremation at the South London
Crematorium, Rowan Road, Streatham, London SW16 5JG for cremation at
1.45pm.
