Mr. Kandiah Daniel Sathurukulasingam was born in Puloly, Sri Lanka on January 14, 1917. He taught in Colombo, at St. Peter's College for 32 years and at St. Thomas' College for 2 years.
Completed his sojourn on earth on January 2, 2011.
He was married to the late Peace Ponnamma, Headmistress of Methodist Girls' High School.
Brother to the late Mr. Soccalingam Kandiah, Mrs. Thangarani Gnanasekaram (Sri Lanka) & Mrs. Nagularani Thavarajasingam (India).
He is survived by his five children, Dr. Shanthikumar of California (Rajini/Chelvan & Theepan), Vasanthi (Dr. Pathmanathan/Priya (Satyen/Shaya), Pradeepa & Prashana), Premakumar (Vathani/Denesh & Ajethar), Mangala (Vijay Sundar Singh/Gabriella & Mirabella) & Selva (Durainagesh/Shivani). Dr. Shanthikumar and Mr. Premkumar are Hartleyites.
