G.C.E (A/L) 2009 RESULTS of HARTLEY COLLEGE

Hartleyites again proved their t

The Department of Examinations of Sri Lanka recently released the results of the GCE Advanced Level Examination held in August-September 2009.

  • Hartleyites again proved their talents in the island in the G. C. E A/L examination and have brought great fame to the Hartley College.

    Hartleyite A. C. John Niraj is the highest Average Z Score holder in Tamil medium in the island with an average Z score of 3.249 in the Maths stream. He is also the second highest Average Z Score holder in the island while Nipuna Randunu Samarasekera of Ananda College Colombo held the highest Average Z Score of 3.343 in the island for Maths stream.

    In the Maths stream 6 Hartleyites received 3A's and in Commerce stream 2 Hartleyites received 3A's.

    On a separate note, Miss. Mythily Sivapathasundaram, student of Shaiva Mangaiyar Kazhagam, Colombo ranked all island first in Bio stream with the 'Z' score of 2.9388 (Learn More).

    Expected admission to the universities:

    • 14 Hartleyites are expected to be selected to Engineering faculty.
    • 4 Hartleyites are expected to be selected to Medical faculty.
    • 8 Hartleyites are expected to be selected to Management faculty. 
    • 3 Hartleyites are expected to be selected to the University from Arts stream.
