Welcome to the Hartley College Global Website -- established in May 1998 and officially launched on Nov. 07, 1998. Since the inception, the website has become well-known around the world for connecting Hartleyites, Hartley College and world-wide HCPPAs, for sharing many stories and for supporting the College in many ways.

About Hartley College:
Hartley College is one of the oldest but most prominent scholarly educational institutions in Sri Lanka. Founded in 1838, the College has continuously excelled with unparalleled academic performance in island-wide examinations and has produced thousands of professionals notablely in the fields of Engineering, Medicine, Arts and Science. Our students are also actively involved in sports such as Cricket, Football, Volleyball, as well as Athletics.

Hartleyites are found in the top echelons of all disciplines and walks of life with eminence and outstanding ability, such as Prof. C. J. Eliezer, Prof. A. Thurairajah and Prof. A. Veluppillai. The committment of our past principals and teachers has elevated the College to a prestigious position in the Island and given the College fame of global dimension.

    Hartley College Past Pupils' Associations (HCPPA) have been created by the concerned Hartleyites where ever they go. Following HCPPAs are found on the globe as of now: Point Pedro Parent Body, HCPPA Colombo, HCPPA United Kingdom, HCPPA Canada & USA, HCPPA Victoria-Australia, and HCPPA NSW-Australia.
    Ottawa division of HCPPA Canada initiated the idea of having a website for Hartley College. A team was then formed in May 1998 by selecting a group of volunteers from Ottawa Hartleyites to create and maintain the website. It was un-officially opened on May 27, 1998 and then officially launched in Toronto, Canada on November 07, 1998.
